1. Acting: Beginning Steps in Taking it Off The Page - A Three Session Course


A script is the beginning resource for the actor. This course will give you the steps necessary to respond intuitively to the words of a text, open up an unforeseen path and realize your potential as an actor

Instructor: Randy Read - Randy is a professional actor and director. He is the Artistic Director of Peterborough's New Stages Theatre Company.

Dates:
January 27, 2013 1-5 p.m.
February 2 & 3, 2013 1-5 p.m.

Cost: All three sessions- Guild Members and Students $25  Non members $40


2. Theatre Makeup Basics - A Two Session Course


Session 1 – Makeup Designing


Hands on experience for future Guild make-up artists.

Session 2 - Pre-production Makeup Design


Learn how to design makeup to coordinate with the Director's vision.

Instructor: Carole Jones - Carole Jones is a make-up teacher and head of the PTG's Make-up Department

Date:
Session 1 - February 9, 2013 - 9 a.m. – noon
Session 2 - February 9, 2013 - 1 p.m. -4 p.m.

Cost: - One session $5 - Two sessions including lunch $10


3. The Joy Of Sets


This workshop will teach analyzing the script, sketching out ideas, making a scale model with construction diagrams, floor plans, & elevations, as well the use of colour and texture, to reflect both text and sub-text.

Instructor: Jane Coryell - Dr. Jane Coryell is an award winning theatre designer, who knows the challenges of the working conditions, staging venues and limited budgets in local theatre.

Date: February 16, 2013 - 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Cost: Including lunch - Guild Members and students $20.  Non Members $30
